The 2016 CensusAtSchool

Posted on February 10, 2016

The 2016 CensusAtSchool questionnaire, primarily aimed at Year 7 to 11 pupils, contains a series of measurement questions and some themed questions, this year these focus on attitudes to money, use of technology and use of social media. If teachers know their LEA and School code they can take part with a class right away, all the resources are free to use, registration is only required to get data back to use in lessons afterward.

CensusAtSchool provides an opportunity to work with real primary data, with resources and lesson plans on data handling for statistics lessons.  This year we also have an optional competitive element with prizes, this involves tabulating and representing data in an Infographic based around pupils’ results, this can be done using Excel and Word and would make an ideal cross-curricular lesson.
