This three-part work shop will include:
‘We need to talk about statistics’
A presentation by Neil Sheldon attending to the changing nature of statistics teaching from numerical processing to interpretation and language.
A work shop session
Where participants can explore and critique materials relevant to the above presentation, with a view to using them to support A-level teaching.
‘Technology and the three Rs of statistics – Randomisation, Replication and Re-sampling’
A further presentation by Neil, where he will share some creative software applications that will allow students to experience what statistics is really about – variation, in a dynamic fashion.

This work shop would also be relevant to those teaching Statistics or Core Maths courses.
